Update: Tunepal is now available on the Android Marketplace in Ireland!
Tunepal is now available for Android devices and has been tested successfully on the HTC Desire, HTC Legend, HTC Hero, Motorola Droid, Droid X, G1, Nexus One, Samsung Galaxy, Sony Ericsson X10 and X10 Mini. It is probably compatible with other Android devices, so please post here and let me know if you are using a different phone. How to get Tunepal:
- The best way to get Tunepal on your Android device is to PayPal me €4. A PayPal button is above. I will respond back within 24 hours with a link by email to install Tunepal.
- Get Tunepal from the Android Marketplace, if you are in one of these countries that Google allows paid app downloads from: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States.
- Give me €4 cash! I will send you an email link you can click on your Android phone which will install Tunepal.
- Get Tunepal from the SlideME Marketplace. SlideME is an alternative distribution mechanism for apps. To get Tunepal, you must first register with SlideME and give them your credit card details. It's perfectly safe! Then download the SlideME App Marketplace (SAM) to your Android device. It's very similar to the Android Marketplace. You just search for Tunepal, purchase and download the app. This will work anywhere in the world.
One small thing to note - with the Android Marketplace, any app you downloaded gets installed automatically after the download completes. With the other methods, you have to tap on the download in your notifications bar after the download completes.
For methods 1, 3 and 4 you have to first go to Settings | Applications and check Unknown Sources (Allow installation of non-Market applications). Also for methods 1, 3 and 4, you wont automatically get notified when a new version becomes available, so be sure and check the Tunepal blog or the Tunepal Facebook page regularly.
